What it is:
Kisser Slicker, clone of Hunny Bunny by Eve Pearl.
What it claims:
The description on the website states,
It’s a lovely, more subtle color where its simple elegance makes it a great match for lots of different looks. It would be spectacular on a bride, or for a casual picnic.
I can’t imagine the person that it wouldn’t look good on – and it’s excellent for layering, or apply just a dot in the center of your bottom lip to make it look a bit plumper. It’s a plummy pink – very sheer, not a super in your face pink with gorgeous golden pearl on top.
What is noteworthy:
Silk Naturals (SN) lippies have a few different formulas, and Kisser Slickers are the original lip gloss. They are handmade and hand poured lippies which are lightly sweetened with a hint of vanilla flavor.
Copied from the SN website and forum,
Each lippie that we make is hand-made, from scratch using all natural oils, butters and waxes. We use organic ingredients whenever possible, and there are never any preservatives, petroleum products, or silicones in any of our lippies. Pigmentation varies quite a bit. Some are absolutely sheer, some are shimmery, some are matte, some contain almost as much pigment as a lipstick. Over 85% organic.
Lippies are 100% satisfaction guaranteed! Try a few, and after 30 days, if you find a color you don’t love you can send it back for store credit!
Precious is what most would describe as a ‘My Lips, But Better’ (MLBB) shade. It is a very sheer, slightly peachy-pink lippie that is absolutely gorgeous. Because it is packed with subtle gold shimmer, Precious leans rather warm. I’d even go as far to call it an almost-nude lippie, but with shimmer. I think ladies who don’t wear much makeup would love this colour as it is very natural. Even though it could be considered a neutral lippie, Precious is NOT a boring colour. It made me look fresh and very put together, and matched nicely with any eyeshadow or blush I wore. In my opinion, this is one of the most versatile lip colours out there, and it really does suit all kinds of different looks.
I was very surprised at the Kisser Slicker formula, because on my lips, it looked exactly like a lip gloss, only it did not have that dreaded sticky texture or the hassle of application you would experience with most lip glosses. The best way to describe it would be ‘Lip Gloss in a Tube’ – Kisser Slickers are packaged in slim tubes (not the fat lip balm tubes), hence application is a breeze without the need for a mirror. I often use it in place of a lip balm as it is extremely moisturising.
Certified Organic Castor, Jojoba and Avocado Oils, Beeswax, Candillia Wax, Carnauba Wax, mica, flavor. Also contains Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Carmine.
Karen, the owner, is one of the nicest people I have ever interacted with. She provides good customer service, and she is lightning fast with everything, be it email responses or shipping. I remember receiving my SN package in 6 days during the Christmas period, which is some sort of record! When I shop at other companies, the packages usually take about 14 days to reach Singapore, sometimes longer.
SN is one of my favourite companies, and if you were to look into my makeup collection, more than 70% of it is from SN. I would buy from Karen again. Hell, I’d work for her FOR FREE if she’d have me lol! Well, maybe not free, I’d ask to be paid in SN products, of course.
